Have you guys noticed reading through the different postings on wrongplanet that people's obsessions with a particular topic will come out of the blue? Somewhere out of left field someone will post a topic about politics, volcanos, or squirrels. It's kind of funny when you think about it and I wonder if they know what they are doing.

I see it too; it's a...cute thing IMO.

Obviously, I'm obsessed over reading Hellboy comics currently (see: avatar).

E: Obviously again, some of us don't wish to share our obsessions with others.

Um, duh. I mean that in a nice way. Want to talk to me about restoring ecology?

Rocks. Basalt, limestone? When I was a kid there was a hillside where we would find concretions. We found a petrified crab in one of them.

I'm doing MY part! I have a robins next in my gutter runoff(Apparently, they LOVE to build it there), some hares under my deck, groundhogs in my yard, and even some trees the squirrels like. And the crickets love chirping at night. Seriously though. I, for one would like to hear some ideas on restoring ecology.

You mean we're doing something? Nobody told me, although it does explain why my hair is messed up after I've been on here.

I'm glad no one is obsessed with making silly wisecracks. :D

hey richardbenson I have 3 fulgarites (don't know if I spelled that right) pieces of stuff or earth that are hit by lighting and are petrified now. Sorta like rocks! My obsession is Bike riding like to do around 20 miles a day in the summer and when I have time (doesn't really take that long to be honest) but I try not to talk about it cause I realize not everyone wants to hear about it. Also I LOVE Alaska, and anyone who reads any of my posts can tell. If you like either of those subjects PM me, I'll talk your ears off or what I like to term "Type your eyes out" :D

I realize that quite a few of my posts revolve around cats or Roger Bannister, but I am well aware of that. I greatly enjoy the cat posts and love seeing pictures of cats.

I don't actually have too much in the way of obsessions now (that I'm aware of), but when I was a kid I had plenty.... I'd collect rocks and build insanely complicated things with Legos. I'd also read astronomy textbooks and the like for kicks.
