Is Rainman still a popular movie?

The movie is nearly 40 years old or there abouts, so I am not sure. I have mixed feelings about it personally.

I never watched it and I have never heard about it too much, I just know such a movie exist. Btw, in the Polish edition of your "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire", there was once a question about a movie character who kept asking others whether they were on any sort of medication - who was it? I knew it but the person participating in the TV show, didn't.

I have never met an autistic person that reminded me of Rain Man. It seems a bit outdated.

I don't know how popular it is. I like it enough to watch it every now and again.

Rain Man is one of my favourite movies. It came out when I was 13.

It's too old to be hyped but I think it's considered a classic

I have no idea how popular it is but ran across in on the cable index the other day and watched about 20 minutes before I had to leave to run errands. It is classic. The idea of being savant is fascinating. I understand that Raymond's character was based on some actual savant.

I like the movie, though not excessively strongly.

Its presentation of Autism does not match mine but I can think of at least three possible reasons for that:
① The movie is somewhat messed up.
② Raymond's Autism is accurately presented and different from mine.
③ Raymond's "treatments" for Autism have really messed him up!

Nonetheless, I believe it is a relatively early film about Autism and is of interest because of that.
