I had it voluntarily by IV.

I really hate GPs who prescribe them willy-nilly because they have no idea about mental health PDDs and don't want to refer you and want to get rid of you. They are not supposed to do this but are still getting away with it.

Not a shot actually but a cup of orange juice heavily laced with an antipsychotic agent (I forget which one) That's ok!! ! I was definitely psychotic at the time and it enabled me to sleep and return to the world of rationality. That was my first hospitalization for manic psychosis. And being brought back from mania that way sure beats waking up totally exhausted and in a state of paralyzing depression. 8O

I was depressed afterwards but it was relatively mild as such things go.

I've considered looking into them. They could prevent me from having tear-laced meltdowns, and I'd look more my age as a result.

Sorry. I was called a Cry Baby by a staff member at my clubhouse, who has two grown NT children a little over a week ago.

There are better things for that like mood stabilisers. tranquillisers are not good long term.

They are amongst the most addictive of drugs. They used them a lot in the 50-60s and it is not a coincidence, with the combination of sleeping pills, they caused a generation of worse off people.

Nope. I can't say it will never happen. There's always that chance that I could lose my grip. I've felt like I've come close several times now. Some days I feel like I could use a tranquilizer.

Which are you talking about? Neuroleptics or benzodiazepines? These classes are both called tranquilizers even though their methods of action are completely unrelated.
