I am just asking because i remember a case that was in the paper a few years ago here. What happened was this 15 year old boy(i think he was 15) had somehow gotten hold of a train drivers uniform, the keys and gotten into the driver carriage then taken a full train for a ride. he only got busted because he kept missing stops. Next he stole a tram (cable car) and drove it for a while getting caught out by the fact he was asking for directions and missing stops. He got a warning for that, but the Tram company said they would hire him when he finished school if he behaved. After that incident he stole a school bus.
He said that he liked public transport. After this the judge ordered him to spend some time in a juvenile training facility (ie juvie) then get tested for aspergers syndrome when he finished his time. That made sense.
I guess this does not happen very often but does anyone know of a person that was ordered by a court to take an AS test?

I've never heard of it. I wonder what the court plans on doing with the info.

I think I heard that story in a book I read. I think it was called The Hidden World of Asperger's Syndrome.

itw, I would think that they wanted some kind of explanation as to why he did the stuff he did. But i would like to know how he did it. how did he manage to get hold of the keys and stuff in the first place?

Yes, I can see that they wanted an explanation but what will they do with the explanation. Will they treat it like a mental illness? Anyway, it is pretty strange that he was able to do what he did so easily.
