yesterday in the car on our way to the vistors center for a ghost tour of flagstaff, i made a few bizzare facial expressions that got some comments from the driver. (the girl who isnt related to me) it was a half wink, half something else that looked like popeye the sailor man. i was doing this because i was listening to my favorite part of the song and was thinking about how cool it was, she thought something smelled and that was why i was making the face but that wasnt the reason. does anyone else make wierd faces? what kinds do you make

Based on the comments I've gotten all my life, I must conclude I make a lot of unhappy and angry faces. I know I frown when I'm concentrating. Sometimes I frown when someone is explaining something to me, because I'm trying to show that I'm really thinking about what they're saying. A lot of people take it the wrong way, though, and think that I disapprove or am angry about what they're saying.

Apparantly, I often look sad or angry when I'm just contently relaxing. People are always asking me what's wrong. But when I'm actualy sad, something about my expression makes people think I'm conceited! More annoyingly, I get a vacant look on my face when I'm deep in thought (almost all the time) and I look deep in thought when my mind is blank (rarely). So people think I just stare into space without thinking most of the time. When I look like I'm thinking, they'll ask me what's on my mind and I'll have to either say, "Nothing," and look stupid, or try to make something up.

Yea I make weird facial expressions all the time, I tell everybody do not base my mood on my facial expressions because I might look extremely angry, when I'm very happy, I think my brain just do whatever it wants without my permission lol

I like making wierd facial expressions, especially with my lips, too but only when I'm alone. My mother laughed at me several times because of it and now I try to hide it more or less when I'm in the same room with her.

There's something about my face and voice that people just can't quite interpret or understand.... so they often think the worst.

Sometimes when I'm very lost in my own world, I will look very sad, when in reality I'll be very content.

I've often been told 'cheer up', when i was perfectly cheery; i used to think it was because my face 'just sat like that'(to quote myself, as i rationalized to myself). It's a relief to know better.
I also tend to grimace and mutter things sometimes when irritated or upset, but luckily, in general, I have the self control not to do so in public.

Amy Sedaris is the only person I have ever seen make my kind of faces that I feel myelf making but that I dont make in front of a mirror. I'd do it in response to something someone said and they would burst out laughing so in that respect, I DO make people happy. I do have the other kinds of faces too previously posted in this thread.

I have this dorky look on my face in most group photos, where I look kinda like a startled turtle...because I find it hard to naturally produce a fake smile.

I get a cocky dork look on my face sometimes when I'm daydreaming. Not so much any more. Other times when I'm daydreaming but trying to look normal I look very flat. Again, not so much any more.
