My aspy son and my aspy cousin (male) aren't very expressive, other than, in even tones say what they're feeling and thinking. I, on the other hand, talk too much and am overly expressive. We're all well insite the autism spectrum but I think that the reason I'm so talkative is that being around people makes me feel vulnerable so it's, maybe, a defense. I'm too manic with people and when I leave the interactions, I'm worn out and need to spend a lot of time away from people.

I find that I'm a very talkative person, and I'm also on the Spectrum. I have a lot to say, when I'm around my friends. I keep stuff inside, all day long, so that when I'm with my friends in the evening, I'm talking non-stop.

I switch between very talkative/totally quiet. I don't have a middle term, really. Sometimes I talk and talk and talk, and sometimes I'm just there like a mannequin.

With people I know very well, sometimes, I never shut up.
With people I don't know at all, I freeze, & don't know what to say.

I used to be much less talkative than I am now, but even so, I'm still not very talkative. I only talk when I want to say something from my mind, which is a typical trait of people with autism or Asperger's Syndrome. But I'm also afraid of saying the wrong things. Which is why I don't say things sometimes.
