Usually. I tend to focus more on what's wrong than what's right. Also, an interesting tidbit... I read somewhere once that people who have depression tend to be more realistic than those who don't. Which just reinforces my negativity :P

Given the way the glass pictured narrows towards the top, there is clearly slightly more liquid in the bottom than would fit into the empty upper portion.

So I would say the glass is either slightly over half full, or slightly less than half empty.

You'd think that someone who was depressed wouldn't be able to make sound judgments, since their sight is clouded with the darkness enveloping them.

Nice quote in your sig :P

Whenever I plan for something in time, or fiscal, I always assume worse case scinario, which allows me to be prepaired for anything, and so when things usually go better (not always) then planned I have a little slack usually or im ready for anything and feel good when it goes better then worse case so I set the bar real low and usually can clear it, know what I mean....

It may not be everybodys way of seeing the universe, but it has hardly failed me yet,

Yeah, it's like not having expectations (or make em real low) so you won't get disappointed in the end. BTW did you (anyone) see The Secret - which was all about what you focus on becomes your reality?

I have a tendency to think about the worst case scenario, too. I haven't seen The Secret, but a psychologist friend of mine told me once about your reality being whatever you invision happening.

It's in the middle, it's both. I hate this question. It's contextual.

Depends on the context. I'd like to think that, while I often do tend to be negative, I have amazing capacity to see the positive as well. It's a choice.

In true Aspie form, nothing can be a simple answer!

Such as: It's foolish to fill a glass all the way up to the rim, as well as the shape of the glass being larger at the bottom than top, the glass isn't half anything. It's more like ~60-70% capacity.

Yes I think like that. And like a fuel tank, I concentrate on how much substance remains, not how much as been taken away.... most of the time.

it's half full because there is no such thing as half empty - it either IS or it is NOT empty
