I made a post the other day with that contained a link to the video of animal slaughter in order to compare the death struggle of these animals to the "death struggle" of aspies in their vain hopes to fake being NT. The video was removed beccause "graphic images of people or animals being harmed" is not allowed in this forum. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with posting that video. After all, we all nkow about World War 2 and other stuff, so the only thing "wrong" with graphic immages is if I am to take something obscure and make ppl worry about it. But the slaughter thing is not obscure -- it happens daily, so I dono't see how I was misleading anyone. I know that some people are too sensitive to this kind of stuff. But in this case they don't have to click on the link -- after all, originial post made it quite clear what the link is about, so if they don't want to see it they wouldn't click it. I don't see a problem with a link like that, as long as the post clearly states just how graphic it is. A warning would be nice, like a TV rating or something.

But I think rules are rules, and you can get your point across w/out the link, right? So I support Alex on this one. (And personally I would not click on this link!)

I understand that you had a point that you wanted to express, but maybe putting a link to a video of animals being attacked wasn't the best course of action. This is an all age board after all.


To your actual point.
If you feel like one of these animals, well, that's why this sight was made. This is a haven for AS children, teens, adults, and relatives. You can be yourself here, and we're all unique, our stories varying from startling success to utter failure. Some of us, in fact perhaps most of us, live beyond that little niche you hide in. Take a look around, there are mothers and fathers, successful businessmen, authors, artists, ect. all here in this little sight. We're not the social run-off, diseased animals that are left to die huddled in a corner. Have pride in who you are.

I'm a little mixed on this one. While I support freedom of expression, I really don't need to see an animal being slaughtered. And I think your comparison is a bit of a stretch -- Aspies trying to be NT's is like animals at the slaughter? I'm glad it was removed, but if it does return a nice little note saying "Beware, there's a graphic image of an animal being slaughtered in this movie" might be handy.

Just to clarify the point of the video, basically here is an analogy I wanted to make: slaughtered animals PRETEND that they are still alive and do their best not to die. Likewise some aspies PRETEND to be NT and do their best to stay NT. Now slaughtered animals can try and walk like normal for half a minute; likewise aspies can try and be NT for 30 seconds. Then slaughtered animals eventually fail to keep walking and eventually die. Likewise aspies eventually fail to hide their Asperger.

Now, without a video you won't know it. I for one was assuming animlas die right away; but now after watching the video I seen it takes few minutes for them to die, and THE FACT that it takes few minutes for them to die AND how they are able to "twist around" to pretend not to, is the point I wanted to make in that post that relates to how aspies pretend to be NT-s.
