i would tell myself to try harder in grade one
then maybe i would not have to repeat grade two

I also repeated 2nd grade 2x, and ya know what, it was like having an extra year as a child :)

I wish I could go back to the beginning and do it all over again :(

DX'ed with HFA as a child. However this was in 1987 and I am certain had I been DX'ed a few years later I would have been DX'ed with AS instead.
