I can't take sedatives.

They make me depressed.

I totally agree with the statement that the worst thing you can do to a depressive is sedate them.

It was almost a disaster when I took one 25 mg tablet of Seroquel, a sedating antipsychotic, which was supposed to help me sleep, but as I predicted, suince the reason why I couldn't sleep was because I was depressed and understimulated (as opposed to the other way around), it made me even more deprssed, because it made me so tired I couldn't go around and look for stimulation.

I wonder about those people in the mental institutions who sedate depressed people. I think this calls for action.

If you're a depressive, how do you react to sedation?

I like the feeling of sedation; too bad to feel anxiety-free I must take doses that make me...gone.

I really don't know if I've been depressed or not; they generally use anti-depressants in hospitals now unless the patient is psychotic, severely delusional and/or severely paranoid. That's from my experience when I was there (depression and/or anxiety disorders seemed to take up the bulk of the disorders).

when i had my surgury awile back i remember looking at the iv and seeing airpockets in the tube that was going into me, and remembering what that one dude at the plasma center said, so i pinched it off trying to get the air out and the nurse who saw me doing this told me that a airbubble the size of the room we were in would kill me and not little ones. so that dude at the plasma center obviously was lying or didnt know what was up.
