There has been much speculation about whether or not Phil Spector is on the spectrum, if he has AS. There is a TV program on Channel 4 tonight (Tues 16th Oct) at 10pm - called Phil Spector's Demons, it discusses his mental health. The documentary includes interviews with his family and friends. Having read the Daily Telegraphy article, it seems likely that he is an Aspie. I also read a discussion thread elsewhere on the net where it was claimed that Spector definitely has AS (they guy claiming it seemed very knowledgeable about about AS). He also said that since Spector was misdiagnosed, it could be argued by his defense team that he was given the wrong medication resulting in "involuntarily intoxication", and thus it was not his fault that he shot Lana Clarkson (well his last trial was declared a mistrial). Well, anyway Aspies or not, the documentary should be interesting to see.
