I read Ticker's post in the "dependent on mommy" thread, & had a bad anxiety attack because of it. I am crying my eyes out right now because of that post. I wish people like that weren't allowed on the board because it ruined it for me.

Why does it affect you? It shouldn't make you anxious unless something she said hit a sore spot in you or made you think about whether she might actually be right?

I don't see why one comment by one person should make you leave, but free world.

Don't listen to that person. He is just generalizing. He doesn't know your particular situation or the hard times you have been through.

i haven't read whatever you are refering to, but i am sorry you got internally attacked.

and, in case graelwyn's comment extra upset you, then listen to me, because i say, duh. of course everthing mean is going to affect you, and i give you a hug.

(but, if i upset you, then please ignore me, and just listen to graelwyn instead. also, i am being very serious and not kidding or joking.)

oh, yeah. i just tried to read it and could not, because i am choosing NOT to work today, which means i can not be a serial killer and hunt people down and do unspeakable things to them until i am again able to feel any emotion, including pity... so i am glad i read this post 1st, because i stoped reading that other one very quick, so spazmaticstitch, thanks, because even though you could not help youself, you saved me from one attack and also others from attacks by me. thanks.

Ok, My mom told me to get off the board last night because a poster (Ticker) had said something that really upset me. They were saying that if you can post on this board, than you can get a job. & that aspies are lazy. It upset me very much. I am very emotional right now because I have been through a lot in the past year. My mom & I are homeless, & staying with friends, I not only have Aspergers, but also sensory issues, really bad depression, & I am significantly developmentally delayed. & just because I can post on a message board does not mean I can hold a job. Also, He/she said bad things about aspies getting disability. The whole thing really upset me. (as well as others, as I have seen going back & reading the thread.)
This person needs to understand that not every aspie is the same. some can work, & some can't. They don't all have the same issues. If he/she can work, that's great for them, but I can't.
I'm dealing with a lot right now. Who knows, maybe in 10 years I might be able to, but right now, no.

Yes even LFA's can use a computer too but don't have jobs. I'm sure few do but it's very hard for lot of them to have a job because it's tough to find one suitable for them. That's why there are job services for people with disabilities.

Try not to pay attention to trolls like Ticker.

I feel isolated here because of people like you, you heard me right.

Okay, i cant point the finger at anyone but my point here is i feel like if i snap at anyone for being weak the whole community is going to turn on me for being 'unsupportive' but i am really trying to help.

Ticker was generalizing and boy was she right, everyone here is so much weaker than they could be.

I learned much about my life and what i was doing wrong, I used to be unfit for school but now im doing fantastically but unfortunately now i have trouble feeling the same way about you guys, when i read your posts i simply think "LOL SUCKS 4 U!!" (dont take that to heart)

But in truth most of you can do better, you don't know how to; you don't want to but you Can!

Its not laziness though, its kinda like fear or lack of desire backed with anxiety.

CAN? Define can? If someone is UNABLE to DO something, then they CAN NOT do it.

Completely true.

What i mean is that most members don't want to be 'normal' which is cool, be yourself but On this forum we encourage that type of stuff too much.

Panic attack while reading a post? Not our problem, they're your issues.

You cant let internet text bother you let alone give you a full on panic attack.

Maybe this forum just aint for me, I never felt the need for support anyway; We need an Asperger forum without severely troubled people on it.

When people head in the wrong direction, you cant 'support' them

BS, you're not helpful, neither was Ticker. You are not the measure of the universe and as long as you can not accept another person as they are, you can not be helpful.


She was quite wrong and mechanima was spot on in where and how Ticker went wrong.



If this is your opinion, you are unfit for this forum. But I'll just tell that to you when you need help or support.

What do we do? Stop people from expressing what they're thinking because someone might get a panic attack ?

I admit my quote sounds pretty immature, but the point is sound that you cant make a thread complaining about someone's opinion being hurtful when they don't even personally attack you.

and to be honest, it doesn't bother me that you will laugh when i need help since I never reached out to anyone during the bad times and normally never do which isnt that much to be proud of but at least I have a balance that way when I don't help other people.

I suggested this place wasn't for me, I find this place quite hostile when I'm talking a neutral tone and just speaking what I think is true , i think of all places here that should be understood?
