Do any of you guys draw when you are stressed? I did it often when I was in school, since it wasn't really a good year for 10th grade last school year. And I think I might do that again this year. Anyway, do you draw in these kind of circumstances? if so, you are gladly to respond below! ;)

With all curiousity and thanks,

Well I want to learn how to draw better from my mind so I can express things. That relieves some stress. But it makes me very uneasy though, the scratchy feeling of pencil on paper. I want to incorporate colors and I'm really good with pastels but it's always dirty and feels ugly. I feel bad about that.

I suck at drawing too much for it to be a comfort when I'm stressed.

Yes. Less so now that there are some problems with my hands.
Back in the school days the last third or so of most notebooks was full of drawings of things which would get me kicked out of school today - Dad was in Navy and my Uncle in Army and there were Star Trek and later Star Wars, what else but battleships and tanks and fighter planes and rockets, plus the occasional train, was such a schoolboy going to draw!?

I've never been any good at drawing, so drawing is stressful for me. I only draw when the situation demands it.

I wish. I can't even draw a proper stick snake.

Not so much anymore. Drawing relaxes me certainly, but I have to be in the right mood to get started; if I'm stressed I'm more likely to pick up a book these days than a pencil. The one exception would be if I'm really 'into' a piece at that point in time, then my drawing's a lot more compulsive and not just linked to normal moods.

These days I organise my life and my life philosophies so that I rarey get stressed in the first place. Why bother getting yourself stressed and then using techniques to try and manage it? Seems like a waste of energy to me. Better to organise things so stress levels remain low in the first place.

Im going to recommend minimalism again. Im probably going to be doing that a lot.

As to drawing, im in the process of developing my drawing skills but that is more becuase I want to design my own craft kits. Drawing well helps.

If I am stressed, I will more likely read a book.

I can't draw to save my life  !

When I am stressed I usually stim or do something else with my hands. Even when I'm not that stressed I still do.

I'm not good at drawing freehand, but I do love watercolor painting. I typically write when I'm under stress.
