I live in the UK and have just finished my first half term of college (@USA members: half way point between high school and Uni). I am finding it hard (although I expected I would) and I also changed one of my courses only a few days ago so I have a lot to catch up on etc.
I've made a few acquaintances but it's most likely I won't follow them up into friendships (I never do - too afraid that if I try i'll be rejected. It's a hard enough leap towards acquaintance for me) and it's always the other person who begins the conversations.
I'm lucky I still have a friend who I went to secondary school with otherwise I would be v.depressed :) .

The thing is I haven't been diagnosed AS because if I want to see a psycologist I have to wait half a year on NHS and I don't have enough money to go private.
I'm also not too sure if I would really benefit.
I would also like to ask whether the college needs to know about it, whether it only 'counts' officially if it's diagnosed and also whether It needs to be brought up when applying for a job (I had an interview for waitrose the other day and I could hardly move or really be charismatic :?)

Can I get some opinions on this? thanks :D

I have PM'd you about getting an NHS referral.

As for letting work/college know, it's up to you and whether you think it will help you and those around you from the knowledge.

When I was diagnosed, my psychologist wrote to my employers - but at my request. Whether this is appropriate is something that you would discuss during your assessment.

Good luck.

I don't think it really counts unless you have been dxd.
