So, I am now in college ... Yay! Becca ... anyway, I had to meet with the Disabilities coordinator since my mother is adament that I get disability .... I don't know what to think of it yet.

Anyhoo, so I have to give these special letters to give to all my teachers .... ugh. Is it bad that I just don't feel comfortable doing that? One of my teachers is HUGE on looking people in the eye and, while he has GORGEOUS eyes (that's as far as my inappropriate thoughts go, don't worry) I just don't like looking people in the eye.

I know that this is part of the -ness of Aspie's, but still .... I don't know. I guess I am frustrated that while they think me fragile enough to need these preferential treatment letters, they still make ME do all the work. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around? Aren't they supposed to be beding backward for me? What is the deal?

College sucks sometimes.

Although I can say with certainty that I have overcome the hardest obstacle of my life so far ... moving out on my own, into the dorms. It has been a rough 2 months.

*Sigh* I need a chocolate fix or something.

I think I would rather go to Iraq than college.

The answer is always chocolate.

There are the special needs students, that know they need to watch it, and the common students, who do not have a clue.

Most people ignore the common freshman, they have a short attendence, meet people, get drunk, drop out.

Special needs student are much nicer. They try, and will help. You met your teachers, brought the letter, most students never speak to the teacher. Teachers do want to educate people, but all they get is freshmen. It is not fair.

Special needs students will remember your name, say hello, treat you like a person.

Aspies get along with older people, make great students, and make teaching worthwhile.

Beware of GORGEOUS eyes, an education, but not that kind. College is to discover yourself, graduate, and become another over educated worker, enjoy it.

Your mother has seen the price of college, sell the house and car, or get the girl disability. Go along with it.

Avoid everyone for the first year, half to three quarters will be gone. Second year they might last till graduation.

College Girl, Yay! Becca
