Bought a book yesterday, Called tigger on the Couch, which examines characters from childrens' fiction and as it says, puts them on the couch. There aren't any AS characters, but I got to Winnie the Pooh, and realised that, well its me. The author diagnosed Pooh with ADHD (Particularly Inattentive Type). There was a checklist at the end of the section in case you knew someone who had these particular traits. I have them all. Tigger is also ADHD, but Impulsive Type. I am not impulsive type, I'm not active enough, but inattentive explains quite alot of things. Mix it up with the OCD and it's a riot in my head.

It certainly explains why I obssess about stuff, but get really upset when I forget to do things, because I was looking at something else or singing or whatever.

So as my title says; huh!

That book sounds very interesting. Did it mention anything about Rabbit having OCD? 'Cause I always thought he was very OCD. Also, I think it's obvious that Piglet has anxiety/panic disorder. Come to think of it, it seems that the entirety of the Winnie the Pooh cast is ridden with psychological issues.

Seriously though. I will definitely look into buying that.

Ok, here we have the cast of 100 acre wood, analysed.

Tigger: ADHD Impulsive Type
Pooh: ADHD InattentiveType
Eeyore: Dysphoria
Piglet: Generalised Anxiety Disorder
Kanga: NT
Roo: ADHD Impulsive Type, may be due to too much time with Tigger, though
Owl: Dyslexic, word confusion
Rabbit: Grandiose, aloof and not at all diplomatic, no specific problem
Christopher Robin: too young to be the burden of responsibility for the welfare of the characters. Maybe its all in his head and is the one with all of these problems. Poor child. :(

Its a book that brings humour to the whole thing, which I like. I can't help but write something that has some humour in it. Its not technically a children's book, but written from the perspective of a parent who found the characters she was telling her children about to be less than normal.

Breaking stuff down like this is great way to explain things without being bogged down by technicalities. More medical books should be this informal. :D
