People say their are AS physical appearence features. But do you think their are for the females? I am petite 5'2, small bones, small face, and I guess flat chested (?) compared to most girls (small B) and I am 30. I'm just wondering about the other girls in here.........do you think AS carries a particular physical feature besides just mental features? What are the physical features of AS females, if their are any..........sorry if you think this thread is to personal I'm just wondering if their is a "so-called" physical look of AS, out of all the books i've read, i have not really heard anyone try to distinguish us by appearence yet.

Well I am sure different that what you described. I am very similar to my family.

5'4", big boned, overweight, large eyes, big forehead, big chested (size D - I was size B at 12 :( ) I am also in my thirties.

i'm 5'5'', size 14, pale skin, F-cup (hello boys!), 24 years old and, apparently, the corners of my mouth turn downwards when i smile (?!).

i read that people with ASDs look slightly younger than their biological age, have larger than average craniums and ickle ears. this certainly describes me.

What are ickle ears?

I look the same at 33 as I did at 15 as other than the weight I have added to my face. My cranium is slightly large but my AS son's is huge compared to the rest of him.

The only physical trait that there seems to be in ASDs is in the eyes. I don't know how to expain it though. Apart from that, the appearance of people with ASDs can range from repulsively ugly to being model material.

You mean the behavior of the eyes or the actual eyes themselves?

I am not even going to bother to decsribe myself. There's a pic of me here (from before summer): http://wrongplanet.net/modules.php?name ... &start=390

it's because we are more economical with our facial expressions. we are the anti-ageing cream industry's worst nightmare!

I agree about the eyes.
There is usually some "distance" in them.
I have been told that I have old eyes.

My mom has is this picture of me on my 15th birthday. My eyes are really super-duper far apart. I looked like a cross between Mary Tyler Moore and Donald Duck. I've since grown into my face a bit. Here is a picture of me:

hmm... i dont think i have old eyes. i look about 3-4 years older than i actually am (i'm 16 but everyone says i look about 19 or 20). i do know my eyes attract an unusually large amount of light however. but for the most part i look pretty typical for someone my age... and yeah i'm really wide-eyed too (no one in my family seems to be)

could the big eyes be an AS trait? for some @ least?

What I mean is, like looking off in the distance.
I think it is that we don't use our eyes as much to connect with people.

I can see it in your eyes, especially compared to your boyfriend, who seems to be looking right at me.

Serissa, I am trying to imagine what "Einstein eyes" look like.
That's an interesting observation.
