not true, in my case, GH. i do not think you are sexist, merely that some of the images you posted are, which is not the same thing.

there are some comments/images and such which are demeaning to those they are about. for example, i know that you feel it is demeaning to beg, for yourself, anyway. the comments about women in your SSWP post are demeaning to women as they belong to a sexual and sexist stereotype, and so have no place on WP. i'm afraid that a disclaimer warning people of sexist/racist/disablist/homophobic content in posts is not acceptable, either - if the content is unacceptable, then a disclaimer does not negate it, or exonerate it.

the guidelines are clear, so please do not post anything else which could be taken the wrong way. many people do not know what is or is not in that category, and so the Mods are in the process of clarifying this, and publicising it so that everyone can be clear. as they stand at present, the guidelines can be found here:

http://www.wrongplanet.net/modules.php? ... sc&start=0

out of respect for others, i would ask that you consider what i've said. i have done much the same thing for you, as i did defend your position on begging (or being seen to be begging) - you can see this for yourself here:

that's fine, GH, as long as the content doesn't offend anyone. and it's not what you say, it's what someone else hears, in some cases.

i agree. however, i am acting in my capacity as a Moderator on this forum here, and have discussed this with other Moderators, who support WP in the same way i do.

if anyone has any other concerns, please PM one of the Mods, and we will look into it as soon as we can.

When I entered WrongPlanet 6 months ago, I was seeking
my fire within. I bypassed most aspergers sites that wouldn't
release my inner fire of silence. WrongPlanet(old school) could.
Now (New school) WrongPlanet is all aspergers vagueness, and
fluff. Disney PG like the rest. I and future others who may join
are censored out of this fire to heal, and be reduced to "Oh! i
scratched is that aspergers fluff".

I am sad to say that only my 10% gripes and autism is feed by
this aspergers only vagueness site it is slowly becoming like the
rest I had to pass.

I would have been wasting my time in this Disney level fluff and
not been able to transform in the NEW SCHOOL DISNEY WRONG
PLANET SATURDAY FLUFF. I am fire I burn and forests of
past holddowns burn away for me to grow, not breakfast cereal.

Yes, I am being insultive. I woud have regretted joining based
on other's version of wrongplanet.

Here's to my 10% autism needs. the 90% cannot work here.
Fires will burn unhealed in others, as this site further decays.
Aspergers only fluff, and vagueness, Fire need not apply...
Thanks for inspiring this closing statement I cannot edit.

May I burn and find a new forest for that non-aspergers HFA
fire to burn into words and leave the Aspergers fluff of vagueness
that would not heal but only inspire further wallowing.

I have work to find, and a life to live, Disney need not apply.
When I post this you ban me. I am being mean on purpose.
No fire = waste of my time.......!

Here is the non-editable post and ban me if you choose

Most programs including children's cartoons have large breasted women with breasts a jingling. Plenty of books describe it too in a much more explicit fashion than Ghosthunter did. Will we ban all of them too. Anyway there are plenty of other posts with sexual explicit content, in fact a large part of the mature forum has been made up of it. Vertivert, you are a self- confessed feminist, im fine with that but not everyone else has the same views and you will put a lot of people off coming here if you try and force them to. Free the wrong planet 1, Ghosthunter.

I'm afraid your making her point here about sexism.

Frankly, I see nothing wrong with keeping a discussion civil, as long as all points of view are permitted to be civilly expressed.

I didnt realise the word 'confessed' was sexist or uncivil. In fact i suspect it's not. I use that word all the time on myself and others. If vetivert is insulted by this i wont mind changing the wording to admitted or if she has any other suggestions towards what other word is more appropiate i will take that into consideration also.

She doesn't need me to speak for her, but since I jumped in, how about "self-described" or "self-professed." One "confesses" or "admits" to a wrong.

Ghosthunter, how is vetivert keeping you from writing how you think and feel? How is it considered censorship to make a suggestion that involves viewing women as something more than eye candy.

I (sadly) realize this is acceptable in society

Quote:

and you certainly are not writing anything that hasn't been written before about the female sex but please understand, there are some of us that are trying to challenge more than the attitudes concerning autism today.

Some of us are not only trying to change the way autism is perceived, we are trying to change how society views women and people of all races, colors, religions, and trying to change perceptions concerning other old stereotypes towards those that are different.

I think that vetevert has taken the heat of your fire by herself long enough. I just wanted to add my name along with hers and, if you feel so inclined, you may burn me along side of her in this pyre of your own making.

I do not think vetevert was trying to take your voice from you Ghosthunter or anyone else for that matter. I think she was just making a suggestion to you for the courtesy of the Women of Wrong Planet, many of the women here do not wish to be seen just for our jiggling body parts and physical attributes but also to be seen as equal in intelligence and to be respected equally as human beings.

In my mind, this is not too much to ask for and it is not a demand, it is merely a request.

ok, next time instead of saying "hooray for boobies" we should say, "Hooray for man/female boobies!"

maybe that will be more fair?

I've seen more than my share of man-boobies. . . . ./me shudders

I still fail to see how i proved vetiverts point or was uncivil but maybe self-professed is a better word for it litguy. There is plenty of sexual innuendo about guys on the site too. Im glad that you have said it is a view monastic and not wp policy. It seems Ghosthunter can continue his story unabated.
