For those of you who are comfortable reading academic articles, here is an interesting one which distinguishes between AS and HFA with respect to outcomes (quality of life, etc.):

Hey,

Are you guys grad students or something? I'm one myself. I'm working on my Ph.D. in Medical Pharmacology (2nd year).

Right now I'm working on pain and post-traumatic stress disorder. Apparently there is some overlap between the two molecularly or something. I'm still learning about it.

I'm also getting interested in pharmacotherapeutics for PDDs. There's this paper by two scientists from Ely Lilly that discuses this but I have not read it yet. I will as soon as finals are over. (I won't be staying long in this site because of my finals.)

Do you have any details of that paper? I think a lot of people here would be v interested...

It's by two authors with the same last name. The last name starts with a G. I found it on Pubmed. I typed "Asperger's".

Found it.

You'll probably need to go to a university that has a subscription with Elsevier to get the paper.

No, NIH materials are free.

The use of the search engine is free. Access to the paper is not necessarily free. In this case it isn't.

Interesting. I never have any problem accessing NIH materials, which I use frequently, directly.

Well, on second thought, that may be because I am in my office at the college. Without logging into the server, it might not work from home.

I think that's exactly the case.
