I know JFK is a popular dead president. But he made my life in school sheer hell with his forced competative sports in school, where you are required to meet a certain level of athletic fitness.

What crap. I hated having to be forced into competative sports in school, it is simply a license to be bullied and ridiculed in school by the athletic jocks.

If my A, B, C, D, F, "See me" is a private preformance, why couldn't my althetic preformance also be protected?

Did anyone else suffer from a lack of athletic ability, especially guys?

How athletic are you?

I can swim, walk, and catch a ball, but shy of that, I am not much of an athlete.

I too sucked at sports and physical activity in general. I remember being in elementary school and having to go through the monkey bars during P.E. I was the only guy who couldn't. By far, compared to the other boy, I was the weakest least coordinated.

I Hated PE. I run funny, and always wound up in last, it was so embarrassing. I wound up having to have them let me do things different. I couldn't do push ups, so i always sort of pretended i did them. I couldn't do sit ups well either. and I had to have them let me walk instead of run. I hated fricking PE.

The only thing I could do really good in was endurance runs. With little training, I was in the top quarter or something in Jr. High. At one point, out of several hundred student, I was able to be among the top 15. I think that must have been the only thing I missed in high school from Jr. High.

I was always the second last boy. There always seemed to be another guy that was weaker, or less fit than me. A fat guy, a guy in a wheel chair, or a guy more autistic than me. At least you had running. I think a lot of Aspies where only able to get a letter from running or band.

I could only outperform the fat kids in gym class, even so they were picked before me on teams because of popularity.

I sometimes hate that movie.

I didn't like swimming (I don't like swimming with people); I was fine with everything else.

Forced school was the worst part.

School was hell and school sports were one of the worst parts. My methods for getting out of games lessons were numerous some effective some not so.
I was useless at sport except cross country running (I was always running usually away from bullies)

Nowadays I cycle and enjoy competing in archery.

I wasn't forced, but I was a diver on the swim team, and I lettered 3 times for it. I did hate it when they made the divers actually swim at the meets...it was pointless because we were so slow.

Sounds like an excellent plan.

I hated how they expected me to be good at basketball in gym class, just because I was tall.

I hated it when we had to run the mile in gym class, because I hate running. I would walk almost the whole way and get yelled at by the teacher.

I could do very well sometimes and poor other times. Coordinating in team sports was horrible, I could not be a team player and due to pressure and not knowing what to do I would mess up, get made fun of, or be picked last sometimes.

I could do the mile quickly, always one of the first to finish. I always did the situp test the best outa most. I could play games like dodgeball, or baseball, or anything where I could function more independently and not so team based. I did ok in gym class cause of that.

thank god for lifelong PE exemption... thanks to cerebral palsy, and now in the last year a neurodegenerative disease http://www.alinssite.info for more info on the disease...

P.E has always sucked... i could never run, never ride a bike. and i even walked funny before this disease... i should have gotten this powerchair im getting soon a long time ago!

you didnt make a voting option for "too disabled to do P.E"

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.
