Underestimate my interest and intelligence. “I don’t believe you wrote that”

Sometime when I want to explain something, I often trip over my own words to explain something. So I write things down to better explain something. My bad audio memory surprisingly makes conversation beyond that of smalltalk difficult. I do sound more intellectual, when I am writing.

This was brought up when in the local newspaper council Xchange newspaper I had a mini review about that me.

Where would you rather be right now?:- Japan
What is your favoure book:- 19 by George Orwell.
Who would you like to meet? :-My future wife
Where was your laste holiday? Turkey
What is your favourite film? Yellow Submarine and The Shawshank Redemption.
Who inspires you:- Dawin
What is your favourite food? :- Lobster
What do you do in your spare time:- Web Design.
What was the first album you bought? :- by the skin of my teeth’ Megadeth.

Many of my workmates thought I was bullshitting, especially about the Lobster. In hindsight I would have said fish and ships, that would be a lie, but more believable..

The biggest disbelief was Darwin inspires me. So I decide to write the reason why and e-mail to one of my biggest doubters. Unfortunately he thought that I palled this information from the internet and e-mailed to him. I told him I was flattered by the fact that he thought to good for me to be able to write at same time I am also insulted.

Quote:
Why does Darwin inspire me.
Darwin's life represented the essence of science. He was naturally curious and a keen observer, who was always gathering evidence to explain the world around him. Just like most scientists, he done his research regardless political influences.

Science represents the grounding that all truth and morality should come from. We consistently fail accept that we are creatures of nature and the same rules that govern animal nature also apply to us. Darwin’s Theory Of Evolution has led the way to not only understanding the natural world but also understanding ourselves. Darwinian psychology is the most systematic, scientific way of understanding human nature.

There has been many people who have used The Theory Of Evolution for wicked things, social Darwinism. However, much opposition to the Theory Of Evolution more are less have been an implementation of it, without actually believing in it. Most religions have been guilty of doing this. Even Communism/ Marxism( a form of non logical atheism) would not have happened if most people of the former communist countries had an understanding of evolution. Contrary to popular belief , Communism DOESN’T work on paper as much as it does reality as it is anti competitive in nature.

The Theory Of Evolution can appear racist as it can point out racial differences from scientific observation, however true science does not have any political influences; if it does it ceases to be a science . Evolution does explain why many humans have racism tendencies. Only when we have scientific understanding of why this is, then we can find a solution.

To finish up why I chose Darwin as my favorite scientist is. Other scientists invent things for us like mobile phone, cars and computers; some of which are better then others. Some scientists observe the skies, do I really care! I don’t have any business up there anyway. No matter the level of scientific development there are things that stay more or less the same human relationship with each other. If you watch star track, star wars Robin-Hood or East Enders you will realise this.

ah, no biggie. This type of doubt is typical to me as well. If someone doesn't find me appealing socially, then they tend to extrapolate that into meaning that I must be inept in every other way as well.

This is why I gravitate to competetive games & sports naturally. People can doubt me, and say whatever they want, but in the end, if you beat them, it's meaningless. Of course, then they say how incredibly lucky I was. lol

I'm there with you, Aspie_Chav. Just because I'm a scatterbrain in normal situations doesn't mean I wouldn't perform perfectly in disastrous situations... the disasters would be stimulating enough where I would actually be able to concentrate; that's what I need to get rid of my scatterbrainedness, I don't need to sit and practise normal stuff first; that will make me worse; those people who say I'm too scatterbrained to handle disasters are IGNORANT and DANGEROUS to my well-being!

I have the same thing happen to me in my work enviornment. They think I'm not bright and have mainstream interests. But when they found out otherwise, they seem surprised. I've been here 9 years, but the people around me change as the average life of a banker is 2 years, so there is always a new set of younger people coming in. When they learn I like Heavy Metal AND Classical they think it is odd. When they learn I read a lot, they can't believe it. I never really understood why people are surprised about the interestes of others. Not everybody listens to JaRule and watches MTV. Sheesh.

Your love of these music is just like me. I love heavy metal and classical too. I also like Kraftwerk. Strange enough the same guy at work said that I only like them because they are strange and mysterious, not because I like the music, like those French moves (one call Red, another Blue, and called Yellow all complete rubbish). I have noticed that few aspie that I know love classical, usually classical music from films like Lard Of The Rings, Gladiators.
