Like, okay, stims, right? Does anyone get the urge to do them on one side of your body, but not the other? My only major stim is that I move my leg a lot, like, kind of rotating it at the hip or ankle. But I've only ever done it on my right side. And I was thinking that was sort of weird, so I tried at a few different times during the week to do it with my left leg and it just wasn't workin' for me. It just felt like I was moving it for no reason, it wasn't satisfying at all. So what's that all about? Anyone else have that experience?

I am definitely left side dominant with my stims, but it's not exclusive. I'll switch off occasionally, but my left leg definitely does it more. I'm left-handed but able to use both hands about equally well for most things, so it probably follows that I'd be a little less side-dominant than others.

Me too. It's probably related to which side of the brain is responsible for the stim.

That probably has something to do with it, yeah. But don't stims seem more like a right-brained sort of thing? I don't know much about it, though.

I never noticed this until now, but most of my stims are on the right side of my body.

Do you have any that are only on the left?

No. All of the ones that are on the left are also found on the right, and more often.

My main stim is hair-twirling, and I do it mostly on my right side, but am not sure whether it's exclusively right-sided.

I rub my left eyebrow a lot. It used to be both but it's only my left, I think because I'm right handed and rubbing my left eyebrow with my left hand is easier.

I kinda curl my left hand up and flap the same too. I only flap my right hand in addition to the left when I'm quite overwhelmed/upset.
