I often find myself looking at myself whenever there is a mirror nearby.

When I look at myself in my own eyes on the mirror, it feels as if there is some inhuman entity in there, as if there is a darkness emanating from the eyes.. Sometimes, I talk to the guy in the mirror, but I don't know if reflections of me can respond, so usually carry on the conversation for the other guy.

8O Everybody else gets to see me more than me.

I want to know what they are seeing.

It can't possibly be suspicious.

Yeah, I do that. I don't think I tap when I do it, though.
But I do find myself staring at them for awhile. That is when I'm not trying to aviod the mirror, haha.

Hi there,

Yes, I love looking at eyes really closely, particularly my own eyes (because they are so easily accessible).

I have stood looking at my eyes, changing the light levels rapidly (watching the pupil expand and contract), thinking about different things to see if my pupils change, seeing how the angle of the light affects my iris colouration (I have hazel eyes so they look very different in different light)

It freaks me out. I get this feeling like Me isn't really my corporal form.

I find that if there is a mirror in the room that I can't help but look at my self in it. I've had people tell me that they think I'm vain because of this.

Your posts reminded me of the person who started two other threads. He/she uses terms of "inhuman" "demon", "inhuman entity" and various things "emanating" from the eyes" to describe.

Did you read those threads? I linked them below.

I remember when I first joined WP that someone posted that in their unit (apartment, whatever) they could not have any portraits and only one mirror because even at home they could not relax with the thought of eyes looking at them.

mirror in the bathroom
(something)
the door is locked just you and me
find no interest in the racks and shelves
just passing reflections of my own sweet self -old song (out of sequence), the English Beat (I think)..;)

well, think about it. They're the one set of eyes you can look into and not be intimidated. They belong to you, and you know (usually) what's going on behind them...;)

I do it in the morning sometimes, the usual "damn, am I getting old" or "did I put on the right body today?'..;)
