Executive dysfunction is embarrassing.

It's basically a euphemism for uselessness. But I am useful for lots of things... I don't get why this happens to me.

It's the Peter Principle; people rise to the upper limit of their incompetence..;)

We had a manager with an idea for an award for techs called the Nova award. A Nova is a star that consumes all it's fuel and then collapses...;)

I'd sleep all day and eat a chocolate bar now and again if I wasn't executed/"motivated" by my mother each morning.

Useless is subjective.

I know how you can get distracted, and even lack hunger. I do also. Don't you have ANY drive to eat? Maybe you can set an alarm?

Oh well, I guess I should talk(sarc)! MY diet today? 2 Metrx Protien plus bars(CHOCOLATE/CHOCOLATE CHUNK  ), and about 3 diet frescas.

Then again, I did take some vitamins, etc... and AT LEAST the bars add up to 64G protein. (Roughly equivalent to 8 normal candy bars) Also, I was trying to cut down on calorie intake today to try to lose some weight, and trying to cut down on gluten.

Pardon the pedantry, but that would be a supernova, not a nova.

2ukenkerl,

I wake up at night; that's when I can forage for my food; I still eat prepackaged and prepared stuff, but I survive.

I lack hunger during the day, and since I lack the hunger, I cannot motivate myself to eat, or really do anything for that matter.

This is interesting.

Personally, I've never found something that really motivates me. I have things I like and try to get them but thats because I enjoy them not because im motivated. I know it doesnt make sense but to me motivation means something that constantly drives you, day by day and defines part of your personality.. what I have is more like being a bit thirsty and there is a glass of water on the other end of the room.. my 'motivation' is just to walk across the room to drink it. its over in 10 seconds.

The closest thing to motivation that i have is based more on common sense/logic than an impulse or like.. I want to go live in New Zealand but thats because I think the place is beautiful, its closer to Japan than Florida (and im addicted to japanese food so the closer the better) and they have a labor shortage so chances of having a better job/future are increased there. But its not like some people I see that are fanatical about X country and do whatever it takes to get there, obsess about the place, etc.

My difficulties arise due to nervousness. I have a job I perform well. I also have a good memory for factual material and am useful to others in that way. I could be doing a lot more if I did not get nervous at crucial times. As I said, I do have a good job I love, but would like to have a full-time job someday.
