Do you usually eat your food in a certain order? I usually eat the least tastiest food on my plate first, then move on leaving the tastiest for last. If I'm eating a salad with chicken in it, I save all the chicken for last. Sometimes, people think the food I save for last is something I don't like. I guess they never heard the expression about saving the best for last. Sometimes, not often, I can't decide what to eat first so then I eat "normally".

I wasn't aware that I did this until a couple of years ago when my mother pointed it out. I don't know if I've always done it or not. I think I might have done this when I was a teenager but it's hard to remember.

I start with my least favourite food and save the nicest bits for last. I also eat everything separately: when I eat a chocolate, I have the coating first and then the filling.

Usually in revolving sequence--if meat and vegetables/salad for example, a bite of meat, a bite of salad, a bite of meat, ad infinitum. No order if it's something all stuck together (pizza for example), I don't separate that which is already "combined" in a meal. I separate food otherwise.

I think I bite the tastiest first (which is usually meat).

I do the same least favorite to favorite pattern. The odd exception is with burgers and fries, I usually eat the burger first.

Same here, eating the least interesting first means there's no leftovers.

Can't afford to have food waste going in the bin as I live alone, and it can take several weeks until it's full (tea bags and orange peel's the only food stuff to go in the bin).

Usually though I eat stuff like sandwiches, or noodles/rice/pasta mixed in with other things, so eating any one thing first would mean considerable disasembly ;)

I don't do this at all...but, for a while I've been wondering about some things my DH does...He is a very social person, but had many anger issues growing up....I attributed those to him not having his real dad with him...

With that said, I still sometimes wonder if he is on the spectrum or not...I don't think he would be diagnosed because of his amazing social skills, but at the same time, he has many things that he does that fit into the description...

And yes, he eats one food at a time every single time...He can have 10 things on his plate and he will always eat each one separately...hmmm...

I eat the best thing first, which means that I may skip salads, soups or rice if they are served at the same time. Like last night I ordered a whole moussaka plate and a side of fries. My son ended up eating the fries and I could barely eat the salad at all. I got really full.

I use the same pattern as Danielismyname. Salad first, rice, potatoes, etc. next and then meat in rotation.

I eat in the same order, but I'm not sure how to describe that order.

I eat meals in a certain order. A lot of people do that. I read an article on it one time, but I don't remember the statistic.
