Lately I feel like my aspergers is getting worse, maybe even crossing the HFA line. I've been exhibiting a lot of new symptoms.

Like, I've started toe-walking a lot more and hand-flapping a lot and the new symptom is sometimes, when I'm thinking really hard, I'll start moving my hands faster than the speed of light in random motions.

What's going on with me?

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

I'm 15.
I recently got off the pill and I noticed that while I was on it I started to get more symptoms.
Then they died down when I got off of it, but now they came back.

Well now... dont do the stupid drugs they give you then... psyciatry drugs are f***ing worthless..

By "the pill" (unspecified) most people mean birth control. Horomone changes would seem to be the likely cause in that case.

Yeah, that is what I thought! The birth control pill is generally just a hormone to knock the hormones out of balance enough as to upset conceiving of a baby. Though that CAN cause permanent changes, they are generally minor and temporary.

Maybe MeganVegantoast is just noticing what has always been the case. As for the age? It probably DOES protect her in a few ways. I don't list my REAL birthdate on systems like this anyway. AND, if they try to use it, I know how they likely got my "birthdate".

Medications can cause irreversible brain damage... its probably the brain damage clicking your autism.

Ha, I'm on so many "psychiatric" drugs that my brain probably shouldn't exist if they cause damage.

OP: 15, teenage years; high school, that's going to make anyone worst than what they are, no matter the disorder they have (those years are said to be the worst in the life of an "aspie"). Anxiety, stress, being overwhelmed, and whatnot, no matter the causative agent can easily make someone appear, act more "autistic".

Certain triggers will make me act in the stereotypical "LFA" way every time; banging my head on things, rocking, no talking, unresponsive to people, etcetera; all at once.

it's not a case of going into hfa,as those traits are well within asperger to-they are the same thing when it comes to 'high functioning',there might be other things setting it off, like hormones, changes, problems going on etc.
