We finaly got a dx for my youngest son yesterday. Some background

when he was a year old I noticed that he had a very hard time calming down when he got upset and he was not speaking well at all. we started speach therapy and OT, at which time he were told that he had sensory issues. We continued to go to therapy over the next two years. He seemed to get better and started talking at age 3, however over the past year he has progessively gotten worse, behavior wise. We have determined that he does not have the ability to self regulate, impulse control, modulation, and does not cross midline.

As I am just gettinginto this any advice that any of you can give me would be great.

Your local autism society, I was very amazed at what they had to offer.

What was the dx and what is his age now?

I've got a 4yo High Functioning Autism and a 7yo Aspie.

Visit the parent's forum - lots of good stuff there.

If the dx is Aspie, visit my blog for a lot of info too.

I just discovered this blog yesterday and read through it, I find the information there to be astounding, and great. I was about to suggest, but he beat me to it :) At any rate, it is a great source of information for Aspergers. I very much suggest reading it, if Aspergers is what the dx is.
