I have just had a sudden inclination to be childish and go out a buy a toy.

I think this is because I have been in quite an irritable mood of late because I am finding out that I likely have Diabetes (I am having MANY attacks of both hypo- and hyperglycemia and so now I am seriously altering my diet). Irritability, along with MANY others, is one of the symptoms I present. (The rest are slight and sudden onset of depression, tachycardia, extreme and sudden fatigue, sudden muscle weakness, headaches, slight numbness in the reaches of my extremities, very poor concentration, and a couple others.)

I have also been worrying about not having insurance (since I have lost my Medicaid thanks to the Republicans in office) and while I seem to feel improvements with my new diet, it is still not perfect and is very hard to measure when too much is too much. Effectively, I cannot have any sugars or carbohydrates unless my blood sugar is already low and then I cannot take too much without feeling it. So, I need to do something and get tested, of course, and hopefully get some medication (which will cost an arm and a leg). In the mean time, I have been studying up on Diabetes and the various types of attacks and what can be mistaken as Diabetes and what are the symptoms and risks and what to eat and how much and what not to eat or when. Sigh.

So in the mean time, I just want to go out and buy a toy. Maybe a lovely stuffed animal or something. Just something that makes me feel warm and fuzzy, even if only for awhile.

I might just go and do that...

one day i would really love to own a dolls' house. not like a barbie / sindy one but one of those beautiful old-fashioned ones that cost a fortune. i love the idea of little, miniature furniture. i don't know what i'd do with it though- since i didn't even play with dolls when i was a kid.

Toys are the best - I have far more now than I ever thought about having as a kid . . .

Well, scrap that idea. My mother called me and needs me to lend her $85 (this is a situation which is thanks to the Post Office, an elusive money order and its disappearance, and her car loan company-- so now she has to wait three weeks to get her money back and the car company took out the payment in question without telling her, so she is down to nothing).

So, when before finances were going to be tight this month, now I won't be able to breath. I will also likely have to buy her some food.

And now I'm having to buy more expensive food (i.e., not the high carb sodium tv dinners which are excessively cheap) due to this hypo- and hyperglycemia, possible Diabetes.   Not fair.

And I won't be going to the Tony Attwood seminar cause part of that money which I'm lending my mother was for that. And she was going to pay me some money back of mine next month which she owed me from before all this. But now I have to lend this to her and I'll likely only be getting it back instead of more of what she owes me.

Currently, she is up to $398. Actually she owes me more than that but I have not counted a lot of stuff. :? But truly, this time it wasn't her fault in the least. But she's paying for it. (Or at least I am.)

No toys.

Just the other month I had the strange convulsion to buy the game Mousetrap, which cost me $34 Australian ($44? US). When my parents asked why, I said it was a birthday present for a friend. Yet, it has sat on my floor assembled for the last few weeks so I don't think they bought the cover story

Anytime I pass by a toy store in the mall I just have to go in. And the last time I went to NYC, I just had to go into the big Toys "R" Us in Times Square.
