I'm right handed and use a fork in my right hand. While I eat, I make fist of sort with my unused left hand, with my thumb between my pointer and middle finger. Every time I eat I do this. I didn't realize until my wife pointed it out to me. Is this stimming?

Could be. Flapping or shaking one hand is a stim for me, something I do when overly nervous or stressed. I think stims can be pretty much anything, depending on the person, the reason and the need.

Could be. Flapping or shaking one hand is a stim for me, something I do when overly nervous or stressed. My two year old vocalizes non-words repetitively when under/overstimulated. My daughter squeaks or repeats a word or phrase, or sometimes spins. I think stims can be pretty much anything, depending on the person, the reason and the need.
