I'm kinda getting obsessed with the site, and I'm rocking back and forth at the moment, trying to get off the site. Any suggestions?

I just won't get off, because I'm worrying that I'm going to miss a really interesting reply :(

It's 12:30 pm, so I do need to sleep (logically), but I'm still typing.

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

wow, you consider midnight to be staying up too late? I wish I could share your insomnia. I'm up till at least 4 or 5am every night. So I probably couldn't help you too much. Look into a band called "Royksopp." Maybe that'll help you. Or listen to a Pink Floyd album or something. "Wish You Were Here" is good one for the sleeping.

Force yourself to switch off the computer and then go away from it. Thats what I generally have to do or I will be online all night until the next day.

Melatonin is available over the counter, and helps me sleep like a baby (assuming, of course, the baby also took melatonin, in which case he is sleeping like me as well.)

Sometimes my mind gets so busy I just cant get to sleep. When it gets bad Ill do an all-nighter, stay up all night. I end up so tired the next day I fall asleep real good. This was I get the mental overdrive to go away for a while + reset my body clock, even if just a little, to help me get to sleep quicker. I dont think this is a healthy thing, especially the coffee I drink! But I just need to do it sometimes. Last night was the first time in quite a while Ive done this.

I know how that is. If I can only feintly hear TV or music or conversation, I cannot sleep at all.

If the bed sheets aren't clean and have one stray crumb, I have to remove it from where I'm laying before I can even try falling asleep. Sleeping with clothes on is also difficult, but onl because I'm used to sleeping without them. Slee[ping in a bed not my own takes at least a few days to become accostomed to, as I'll usually lay around in it for 4 hours trying to fall asleep without success.

12:30pm? What are you doing trying to sleep in the afternoon? Unless you mean 12:30am. That I'd understand.

Try browsing until you feel the need to sleep? Don't sit in front of the computer for too long, you'll do your back in. Have you got any books you need to catch up on? Maybe think retiring with those. I tried listening to the radio to get me to sleep but I always found that it had the effect of keeping me awake because of the irritation rather than sending me gently off to sleep.
