I was browsing through some random writings on the autism spectrum and saw a reference to hypersocialization on the highest end, whatever that means.

I couldn't find much else about that word but it's made me curious because I think it describes me. When I'm around people, I have way too much nervous energy and want to enchange as much information as fast as possible and then find a good way to escape which I don't handle well.

Then when I'm alone after the encounter, I don't do a lot because I'm still recovering. I think my reaction comes from fear of people and I'm compensating.

Anyone else ever heard of hypersocializtion?

I haven't, but if I had to take an educated guess, I'd say it meant some sort of intense socialization, or an extreme amount of it. (Seeing as hyper means high, as in hyperglycemia, or high blood sugar.)

Not heard of this but I think I recognise it in me. In a group I go way OTT, become a totally different person, usually despise myself while I'm doing it and even more so the next day. Its a social defence mechanism I think - I just can't even handle the concept of being myself around even one person most of the time so I just flip out.
