Do aspies have a short temper?

I do. But not as short as it used to be.

Not going to school helped with that.

My temper's under more control. I keep it on a short leash.

I have a short temper but, I control it so well that no one can really tell.

I can control it when I'm around other people; when I'm alone, I can angry enough to break or damage things.

depends on who's getting on my last nerve...

Some people, like a coworker YESTERDAY, have marveled at how even tempered I am, and say they can't see me losing my temper. Yesterday I had to jump through hoops for 1.5 HOURS to do what should have required only a short phone call. Of course, others sometimes laugh at how the littlest things can set me off. USUALLY that is not NEARLY as little as people claim.

After all, there was a "minor" galvanic difference in the statue of liberty that caused a minor breakdown. Over the span of a hundred years, that "minor" difference basically DESTROYED IT! It had to have a major overhall.

No, I have a very long temper . . . very long . . . but if I ever do finally go off, watch out.

I quick to aggravate. Someone says something that I'm completely against is enough to get me to argue, but that is just the way I am. I calm myself down about a minute or so into it, then move on.

How do you stop being angry?

I used to hurt people to get over my anger.

Why did you get angry?

Most of the times I realize that it is I that is making myself angry. I cannot blame another person for my anger because I let it get to me. I will be embarrassed, and I will not speak to the person for awhile, but I will eventually forget about it.

I got angry because people touched me.

Hence the reason I say 'touch me and die'

Sigh...as of now I can sum up my personality in one word - anger (yet, I'm working on quelling that). I will never hurt anyone, but things will be broken if I am mad enough.

Difficult to feel anger when you're in depression. Don't even have the energy.

Not so long with myself though.

I'm the sort of person who holds everything inside and then lets it all out on day, in one big explosion of rage.
