I just wonder because I am used to talking to normal people and I just don't think I could get along that well with people who have the same problem as me. What do you think?

Yes.

They do.

It's a hell of alot easier to get along with people with AS. I don't even come close to getting along with normal people.

I wish I knew I would love to meet another AS individual and have him or her as a friend.

Nope it sucks. Cause they are just like you and they remind you that. Plus I'm annoying enough. :D

Yes, I can get along great with people who are close to the same spot as me on the spectrum. However, I there are some people more greatly affected that i sometimes would like to punch and say "Hey, you have to consider other people too."

Yes...

My circle of friends are either aspie or have other social issues.

hello

well although i have been told for ages that i am an aspie and my doctor agrees that i defintely fulfill the criteria for diagnoses , i have no parents alive so it is difficult to get a formal diagnoses as there is no one to vouch for my childhood, but i live with my wife and when we met we knew that we had the same problems but it was not until recently that she has been going through the diagnostic process and they say that she is an aspie with adhd so i think that it can be a real benefit to find people that have the same problems they can understand what you are going through and not condem you when you are feeling bad or do not want to talk etc, and they do not want to drag you out into socialising or tell you that all yo need is exposure therapy, so i like having aspie people around me

Birds of a feather flock together topic

I have only met one Dx Aspie in my life, a 20 year old young women and that was only six months ago. There was a big age difference and I had a hunch she was interested in me as a parent figure. I already have three children. I would rather meet a woman my own age so we could have perhaps some common basis.

Because of my auditory integration challenge I do not always pick up what others are saying and other people can be distracting, so I am not sure I would not have a problem with a face-to-face meeting and conversation. Sometimes reading and writing for social interaction is a lot less complicated.

never met one either. But then, I'm surrounded by all sorts of people who don't share things like that with the world in general.

An instructor showed up in my class with AS characteristics. I didn't like him that much. I found him somewhat rude and annoying. Oh, and he smelled.

I don't think I would get along with myself, either. I'd probably punch myself in the face, then go eat a gyro.

Some of you guys are just plain weird for me.
