I have a little half brother, he is around 8. The doctors do not know what kind of condition he has. He did not physically develop normally as a baby and even as a toddler. He was born premature and had to be fed formula until 2 years old. Even now he is very small for a 8 year old.
Mentally he is moderately ret*d to use a medical terminology; he has to go to a special developmental school. He had major delays in crawling, walking (I never had those) and speech. Mentally he functions like a 4 year old roughly, I do not think he has even learn't to read yet.
I have made some strange observations of him.
Firstly he has obsessions with things, he likes to talk about the same thing ocassionally over and over again and likes to play the same song or segment of a video over and over again sometimes. He is very prone to major emotional meltdowns, and despite he is very verbal and social; he often communicates his frusations using noises. Not to mention he is very bossy around people, constantly telling everyone off even my dad finds this quite annoying.
My dad made an observation he is lot like me at a similar stage of the development, although he is much more social than I was.
Maybe you give me some answers.
