I have taken Glucosamine Chondroitin with MSM, and had good results.

How long does it take to start working?

be warned- when I started taking it, I started getting bad symptoms of increased sensitivities and eye avoidance, and also arthritus is asociated with gluten allergy and mine has improved since giving up gluten. Do you have any dermatitus? if so definately give up the gluten as is coeliac symptoms.

I noticed a difference in about two weeks. Also, what someone else said, is true for me too. I find that when I keep gluten and dairy products out of my diet, I experience much less pain and stiffness.

Glucosamine and MSM helped me with knee pain I got while running. Chondroitin is supposed to be good but it's much more expensive so I haven't tried it. I mostly used MSM because it is the cheapest. I read that glucosamine sulfate is the best kind of glucosamine to buy.

It seems to help for osteo-arthritis, so if that's what you have, it's worth a shot.

Doesn't do a thing for rheumatoid arthritis-different disease model.

I don't have arthritis, but I take MSM for joint troubles. I injured my back and my knee a long time ago, and started taking it. Within about a week it started to feel better, and I seem to be able to handle heavier lifting than they though I would be able to.

Saliacylates/amines have also shown a relation to full blown arthritis, I think there's info on www.fedupwithfoodadditives.info
