Yeah, people probably underestimate how much better it is to have a dentist that listens to your concerns...
I go to a dentist that I've known basically my whole life and is really patient and knows how I like things. When I had to get my wisdom teeth out I found a surgeon who would do things exactly how I wanted and patiently listen to all my little picky things (otherwise I wouldn't have done it)
I probably have to get braces at some point but the orthodontist I went to before was kind of impatient and didn't really listen I thought. So obviously I haven't been back since - I've been looking for someone just as good as my regular dentist.
