Hi all!
I have a 9 year old son dx'd AS.
He told me yesterday, but he has said this a lot over the years,
that he sees/has visions and then these things often come true.
He said a lot of it is dreams of things he believes he has never seen or experienced previously, but then they usually happen.
I asked him if this is a good feeling, he said he gets scared because what if he dreams/sees something bad happen to me, then it may come true. This is what he thinks anyway.

I have heard some where that this could be a form of seizure or seizure related. he does have a neurologist appointment in June for a possible abscence seizure issue. When stressed his face goes blank and his eyes roll back it only lasts a few seconds tho. My older sister had epilepsy but grew out of it.

Can any one shed some light on these dreams? Is it more likely to be seizure related? or am I worrying about nothing?

Cheers aurea.

Well, I DID dream a friend of mine was going to die of a heart attack. He DID! I only wish HE believed me when I asked him to take it easy. I ALSO dreamt once of getting lost in an unusual area. Years later, I DID!

Well, I have vivid dreams but they arent foretelling. I have known a few people whom i knew they were pregnant before they even did. We are talking a few weeks pregnant. I knew i would marry my now husband on our first date. I also had two pregnant kitties, on seperate occasions, whom i predicted to the day when their kittens would be born. bingo two in a row. I chalk it up to knowing my cats. Who knows? Maybe he could start a dream journal and write down the dreams he has each night. That way he has a record and date of it. That way you can reference them if he has one of those deja vu moments.

I often have dreams like these, but mine are not ones I remember when dreaming. I remember them when they happen and then I'm plagued by the feeling that something awful is going to happen and not being able to remember what happens or how to stop it. Then it happens, and I get mad because I didn't listen to that nagging feeling.

I've had major Deja Vu issues all my life.

Now that I know about aspergers, it's probably related to the amazing long-term memory and the fact that things often repeat themselves.

I have to agree with this. My short-term memory is a mess, but my long-term memory is intensively good.

it's a really weird feeling when it happens, but I had it explained to me in an article once that Deja-vu is simply long-term memory registering before short-term memory, so it seems like you remember it having happened previously. It's just a quirk of our brain wiring.

I have always had HD dreams with quadraphonic sound, so sometimes when dreaming I have a hard time knowing if I'm awake or asleep, some dreams I've always felt were oddly clairvoyant or premonitory, but honestly, I cannot tell you whether any have actually come true.

By the same token. I am very good at reading Tarot cards. :D That'll shake up a few fundamentalists. 8O
