when somebody sticks their nose where they don't belong?

I usually give them something they don't want to see/hear/read. I can take advice and stuff, some are actually useful, but plain uncalled for butting into others' lives and business I don't tolerate very well. I usually get nasty.

What do you do in these cases?

I'm not quite sure what this necessarily entails, could you give an example?

Sorry if I didn't come of that clearly - for instance, if you know people are reading things they're not supposed to be reading. Say someone is reading everything you post here, someone you don't like...what do you do?

well, there's rules here. If they become a problem, report 'em to the admins, and they'll handle it.

Unfortunately I can't do that - they're not as dumb as they look and are careful in that regard. I usually just plain out ignore them, but their harassment in real life is what gets to me sometimes.

I simply cant stand when other try to get into my buisness when they dont have anything to do with whatever we are talking about.

At work I was discussing an issue I had with the boss, another one of our fights with anyther employee. This other guy walks over, he is nutroious for being noisy and then telling EVERYBODY EVERYTHING EVERYONE else says. I very sternly looked at him with an angry face, and very rudly told him it was none of his buisness and 'goodbye'.

How do you know if someone's reading stuff that you've posted?

You can always create a new online pseudonym.

I can't say without sounding crazy.

I wish it were that easy...but they hacked into my computer.

(They even hacked into my library account, for Pete's sake. How creepy is that?)

I occasionally get paranoid about people from real life reading what I post here. It's not that much of a stretch, but I don't care to elaborate. So I can relate in a sense.

There have been verified incidents of people reading my journal. I found out because they got angry about something they read there and confronted me about it. I dealt with it by explaining that I use the journal to get my less pleasant thoughts out so that I can be a nice person most of the time. People who are worthy of my friendship understand and respect this once I have explained it, and then I forgive them and they don't do it again.

If someone was habitually violating my privacy, I think I would be tempted to f*** with them a little by doing something completely harmless yet memorable. Just enough to get the point across, ideally the kind of thing you could laugh about later.
