I tried to apoligise to the moderators for the flamewar with Eamonn, and this is what I got back.

This is what I recieved after a FRIENDLY APOLOGY to a moderator! If this is what he does to friendly, what whoud he have done if he had been flamed????

I got into a flamewar with a troll, and apoligised both publcly and privately to the mods, and this is what I got back. So much for "thank you"

This is just TOO much. Talk about agenda driven.

I tred to apoligise and I got this, if this is what runs Wrongplanet, I don't need it.

You are a troll. I hate it how some people on the internet like to keep arguments running due to a lack of any redeeming personality. Get a life and stop obsessing over me! Why wont the last word do for you and you have to keep the insults up to try and stop me leaving here peacefully? SAD!

I remember that flamewar between you and eamonn. I don't think you threatened or advocated harm, but there were personal insults and attacks on both sides. When someone is in a debate he or she should attack the issue, not the person.

ljbouchard's message doesn't seem bad, in my opinion. He was just warning you not to start having flamewars again.

Yes she did, she mentioned that she wanted me kicked in the stones with a pair of doc martins or something to that effect and then edited it. Im not sure if any mods caught this but i dont know if that is what it's about. Im almost certain she advocated harm to me before but i cant be looking through all the threads for it. No big deal anyway, there is probably at least two others here that would like me to come to harm judging by another thread i read today.

I advocate harm to all of you. Shut up.

Could a moderator please do something about this? I have a feeling that all of this Tak and eamonn stuff is never going to end.

Thanks for reminding us of how horrible our moderators are. Honestly, I don't know how this community has survived for as long as it has under such tyranny. And without your help, we would never have known the true extent of the mischievous plotting that goes on behind our backs.

if there is a homophobic agenda on wp it is important that you continue to contribute to re-address the balance.

the way that i interpreted the message was that ljbouchard said "if you advocate harm..." it wouldn't be fine but i don't think he meant (or implied) that you actually did. however, i would like him to explain what he meant about having "a differing opinion on homophobic speech."

don't go, tak, because i enjoy reading your posts and i'm sure that other members do too.

OK, I am going to respond.

First, Tak misread my message to her. I meant that we would investigate and take care of anything which would advocate harm to those who are gay. I did not state that she was going to harm anyone.

Second, I think that we have to realize that there should be a difference between an opinion that being gay is wrong (which people have the right to their opinion no matter what anyone else thinks) and homophobic speech. To silence one group of people because they do not agree with homosexuality is wrong in my opinion too.

With that said and all of the attacks on the mods lately, I do not know why one would want to be a mod. It seems that I spend more and more of my time cleaning up the messes others make and less of my time on this site for personal enjoyment. On top of that, no matter what the mods do, it seems we have armchair mods on this board who crtisize our every move. Add to that, the attacks, both public and private, from the persons whom we rightly warn (many times after discussion and debate). This is a hard job and if you think I should step down, you had better be ready to take may place and be able to do the job and even handed and fair as we do. Otherwise, shut up and let us do our jobs please.
