Well, we have had the thread about Aspies using their AS as an excuse, but what about when you never really mention your syndrome and the family uses it as an excuse?

One person in my family always asks if I am having an Aspie moment when I do something he doesn't like. Not EVERYTHING I do is down to my AS surely!

my favorite is mom blaming my cousins' (on my father's side) crappy behavior on me having AS.
no one else on either side fo the family treats me like they do - they'll ask me how i am and walk away while i'm mid-sentence!

which is somehow the result of my own diagnosis...?
my mom makes my brain hurt.
