At my college, on every weekday from 11 to 1 the local Hare Krishna group sets up a lunch serving table in a common area on the campus. It's all-you-can-eat, and is $3. They serve vegetarian organic lunches. I like to eat their lunch sometimes. It's a good deal for me since I can eat so much!

Yes, these are the guys you see at airports wearing robes and chanting Hareeee Hare Krishna Krishna.

I like that at their lunch they don't actively try to recruit anyone. They just serve food and some other sit in a circle playing music.

It is generally some type of base like rice or pasta, topped with a thick chunky vegetable stew (for lack of a better term). Then there is a salad with a very tasty dressing (not sure what it is). And a dessert . The dessert today was cake. Sometimes it is couscous that is flavored with cinnimon or fruit.

Thank you Lowfreq. I wish we had something like that around here. I would support them.

I don't really understand their philosopy though. Do you?

I don't know much about it. They are a branch of Hinduism, so they believe in reincarnation and karma.

I do know about Hinduism. I have a friend from India and she has taught me a lot about their religion.
