Type One: Large amounts of memorization
Mine: ASDs, Psychological Disorders, X-Files trivia (at one point in my life), 1337 $|*34|<, Batman, Boba Fett (not the half-assed version of him in the movies either, but the Jaster Mereel version), Star Trek's Q
Type Two: Problem solving and Analytical obsessions
Mine: Sudoku, Hanjie, Music theory, fitting multiple objects in small areas (it's a puzzle, see) . . . like packing the trunk of my car . . . figuring out how to fit myself into the timelines of my favorite shows/books without messing up the schedules of the other major events of the other characters, categorizations of anything
Type Three: Purely imaginative obsessions
Mine: Batman, MASH (the tv show); plus there's thing I do where if I can get relaxed enough with my eyes closed, but not asleep, I can start seeing shapes of things that I want to draw. I get flashes of them, like with the exact angles that are needed standing out very clearly. I memorize them as fast as possible and then draw.
Type Four: Imposed Obsessions you manufacture to accomplish a purpose
Mine: Human Anatomy, Music History
Type Five: Collecting
Mine: I own 9 of the 11 seasons of MASH on DVD. I also collect websites (this is obvious if you've ever seen my website). I used to collect pennies. I used to collect books about or involving the X-Files. I used to collect Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I collect Batman movies and B:TAS seasons.
