Until Recently, i Was Unaware that Aspegers brain develop diffrently. Normal people brain "Delete" info that they don't use after awile, but we keep it. This makes us harder to recall relevant facts, but gives us greater mental compacity. So what do you think?
Advatage or Disadvantage?

( I really want to be normal if would cost me my gifted intellgence.)

Also, list other Bonuses or losses you can think of

Cash in on Jeopardy!

Seriously, I was going to try out for the show, but when I showed up in the parking lot it was a pay lot, and I didn't have any cash on me. I cried and went home.

My mind is filled with lots of trivia and I have a superficial knowledge of a lot of subjects. I think, given some of my social awkwardness, that it helps me talk to people of various stripes. I also think that facts and knowledge help me make some sense of the world.

I believe it is a big advantage for me in my work. I have listened to such a huge variety of music that I know what genre the CDs are located when I pull them for the Interlibrary Loan. I also know the general location of all of my favorite subjects according to the Dewey Decimal System: Olympics (796s), cats (636.8) and Asperger's (616/618).

I'm similar, although I'm probably more knowledged in abstract ideas than in concrete facts. There are some areas that I know nothing about, such as automobiles, but I usually find something that I can relate to in most people that I meet (although I haven't made enough use of the ability yet).

I seem to have an excellent long-term memory, which I think sort of helps me "write my story" of my life, and I'm collecting stories, so when I'm older I'll have endless amounts to talk about.

I definitely have an entire head full of useless trivia that is good to absolutely know one except myself or people I team up with when playing trivia games. I know lots of things about nothing at all in particular. Amazing or simply a head full of dribble. You decide.

My brain does not work like that at all. My memory is more selective than anyone i have ever met. I can not remember math, number sequences, names, dates, specifics, etc , but i am great at figuring things out. Whenever i do anything math related i have to figure out how to do it over and over again, it takes me longer but i can do it, the same is true with dates and specifics, i will take something major and work from there to figure out when something happened or how much something weighs. I can take a test of about any subject with no knowledge of it whatsoever and make an A or B, i never study at all and i have no problem making A's as long as i have at least heard of some of the stuff or read over it. Most people seem to have trouble with this but it is the only way i can function. So i think i am pretty much the exact opposite of most of you, i remember only major points and the most important facts and work from there. :?

It can be both an advantage and a disadvantage. Last year, I was completely unable to remember anything for my Biology and Chemistry exams. The papers might as well have been written in Turkish. But my general knowledge is very good, and my knowledge of my 'specialist subjects' is even better still. Thankfully, I'll be studying one of my main interests, Linguistics, at University. The main challenge will be filtering out the things that I know really well but aren't relevant, and concentrating on the things I really need to know. Problem is, my big mushy brain decides what it does and doesn't want to learn, and there's no stopping it. :?

MY memory IS very selective. It is AMAZING! I can't even tell you everything I had for breakfast yesterday. I won't even TRY to remember more than 50 digits of PI. Even when I was like 16, I hadn't committed the color code to memory.(You know, black, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, gray, white, gold, silver) I have to logically recall ohms formulas. YET, I learned things when I was 3 or so that I could tap into NOW(over 40 years later). It took me over 20 years before I STARTED to forget some C. I remember various diseases and the cures, etc...

Oh well, lets just say my memory is selective even though sometimes it SEEMS like I know everything.
I WISH I never forgot still. I actually went through a french book and learned it ALL one day. The next day, I forgot almost everything. It was almost like drew barrymore's character in "50 first dates"! Oh well, it was a THICK book! Over 3000 words. That is a lot to learn in one day.
