I was strolling through trying to find out the meaning of the word "esper".

Esper - refers to an individual born capable of using telepathy and similar paranormal mental abilities; it apparently derives from extra-sensory perception ("ESP") via the English occupational suffix, thus being literally "ESP-er" with different capitalization.

If Han's last name wasn't Asperger but Esper. It would make Asperger Syndrome as Esper Syndrome. Wouldn't that make a strange difference?

Plus...

There is a last name Esperger that does exist far as name

Look for Esperger in the name list

Do you think that if you did accomplish something that people think you are an esper? 8)

One it may be a weird coincidence
Two who's to say it would be named after him then.
Three we don't call ours selves an Asperger
If it did happened we'd be calling ourselves Espies; to catch sight of or detect something

Didn't Alfred Bester come up with that term back in the fifties? I remember he used that term in "The Demolished Man." But I don't see what AS has to do with Espers. In fact, since Aspies have difficulty "reading" other people's emotions, they're kind of anti-Espers. They have *less* access to other people's thoughts and emotional states, not more.

You've never heard of:

Tenser, said the tensor
Tenser, said the tensor
Tension, apprehension, and dissension have begun
?

Getting that jingle stuck in his head was how one of the main characters in "The Demolished Man" sought to defeat the mind-reading abilities of the Espers.
It's really fun to say.
