Who's opinion is more valid?
What do you think?
You know yourself better than anyone.
One GP basically laughed when I mentioned I had been evaluated...he said he thought it was a mistake, I didn't seem to have any "learning difficulties".
Apparently he wasn't too educated on the subject, further conversation confirmed that. But, I could have taken his word as a professional and denied it's existance...at the time I was all for denial...because I was looking for some "magic cure" to make me a different person and save my marriage.
I can do a pretty convincing normal act when need be, and I'm sure a couple therapists who didn't pick up on the clues would come away saying..."nope, you don't have it"...unless they took me home for a day or so...then after I lined up their canned goods and cd's, cut the tags out of their clothes, took apart their vacuum and rebuilt it, and filled their heads with useless tidbits of knowledge for a few hours I think they would look at me a bit differently...or possibly need therapy themselves.
