what exactly is neurotypical and what does it really mean?
Ive just done the aspie quiz and got this result
Your Aspie score: 13 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 191 of 200
You are very likely neurotypical

My 11 year old daughter did the test and got this result
Din Aspie poäng : 13 av 200
Din neurotypiska (icke-autistiska) poäng: 164 av 200
Stor sannolikhet att du är neurotypisk

and my 17 year old friend who has been diagnosed with having Aspergers got this result
Your Aspie score: 50 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 148 of 200
You are very likely neurotypical

I have absolutely no idea what any of this means, please, can someone explain it to me
thanks

well, it looks like your daughter somehow took the German, or Polish version or something. :S and according to all three tests, all of you are Neurotypical (non-Aspies; you don't have Asperger's) but that's according to the test.

neuro=brain wiring
typical=statisticaly similiar to the majority

It means that your brains are wired the way the majorty of individuals brains are wired.

I don't like using the words NT or Neurotypical but then I don't know what else to say.

Id you were to have Aspergers you would ND Neurodiverse.

Are they the 'politically correct' terms?

I have no idea. I really just use them for lack of a better term.

The test scores, Clariefinch, mean that from a certain list of commonly found symptoms/behaviour of those with AS, you three show only very few. According to the test at least.

In essence, the test measures how typical AS or non-AS (Neurotypical) someone behaves.

Not German. Not Polish either. I'd know.

I'm positive that is Swedish.

I KNOW it is skandinavian. It ISN'T DANISH! As I recall, it ISN'T norwegian. So it would be swedish.(It has been a while since I studied the differences)

Din Aspie poäng : 13 av 200
Din neurotypiska (icke-autistiska) poäng: 164 av 200
Stor sannolikhet att du är neurotypisk

Your Aspie score is 13 out of 200
your neurotypical (NOT-autistic) score 164 out of 200
BIG possibility that you are neurotypical

Luckily, whatever it is, the big three scandinavian languages are VERY close. Jeg taeler kun Dansk men Jeg kan ogsaa forstaar svensk og norsk. 8-) Of course, it is kind of obvious anyway, and rdos DOES appear to be swedish!

I apologize for misspellings. I speak it better!

Having a brain structure that's similar to that of the majority.

Example:

Aspies and NTs must learn to live together.

The Aspie Quiz doesn't really have any predictive validity.

Another example:

Aspies are not broken NTs.
