Where do you find one? How do you find one who will work on a payment plan or pro bono?

I need help quickly and don't know where else to turn!

Not sure how much you want to disclose of your situation, but it may help give some more detail because there are so many lawyers who specialise in different situations, eg. property, family matters, criminal etc. Are you wanting a lawyer who deals with AS so that they will understand you as a person, or is the "case" to do with AS? Can't remember if you had details of your location in your profile, but it may help to know the general area you are in, in case someone knows of a particular lawyer near you. Other than that all I can suggest is asking people you know, or looking in a phone book. You could also try an internet search with lawyer+aspergers+(your area). All the best on getting some fast answers.

Is there a Legal Aid Society in your community that offers legal assistance to low income and disabled individuals?

At the Kelberman Center for Autism in the Central New York Region, there are lawyers available who assist those individuals and their families receiving services from the Center.

Best of luck to you!

Hi Liverbird,

Have you found a lawyer yet?
