Anyone freak out when being unexpectly touched and not being prepared for it? I tend to it alot.
Especially when it comes to my hair.

I can't stand having people touch my hair. I also hate it when people mess it up. My spikes are to me, what a beauty queen's nails are to her. Leave my hair alone!

I hadn't realised how many of those criteria I "qualified" for.

I plan to look further into that subject.

I also hated being touched as a child which used to upset my mother. I've got more used to being touched with age but dislike some over-friendly people who reach out and touch my arm etc while talking to me.

I like my wife to touch me (when I'm expecting it) but I'm extremely ticklish over large parts of my body and tend to leap away - it's as though my skin is SCREAMING at me - I can't describe it as painful as such, it is more of a massive overload of sensation.

I can't respond emotionally to touching unless I'm prepared for it. Otherwise I just sit there. It's like I have to activate 'touch mode' or else it's not fun.

I don´t like to be touched by people I barely know (e.g. teachers, strangers, people in my class) or if the said person has dry skin, or a weird texture. But if I know them and they have fair skin, usually it is ok for them to randomly touch me (sometimes)

But I do not like to be hugged without my consent. I remember I was coming home from my friends house (who also has AS) and my moms friend was over with her daughter who was about my age, a little older though so more towards my brothers age. They were about to leave, and were just about to get in their car, when she saw me, and ran down my driveway and into my arms! (well, jump is probably the more appropriate word, I was practically holding her!) It was a little awkward at first because I had no idea she was about to hug me!

And a lot of my teachers that I had like to try and hug me for some reason, and some like to massage my back randomly! I would be talking to them, and they would grab me and massage me. Or I would be reading or doing my work in my desk, and they would try and massage me!

Rules-
Do not touch my head.
Do not touch my hair; maybe if you compliment it first, ask nicely, and touch gently. But never ever without letting me know first!
If I am stressed out, do not touch me even if you warn me first (Jackie!!) and especially do not try to PINCH me!!
Never surprise me with touch. That is a good way to hear me yell.

It's nice to know I am not the only one. I remember being a child and my Dad would be brushing my hair and I hated it.
I reccently just got a haircut and everyone touches my hair. I hate it.
Sometimes I enjoy hugs from people I know well. But I hate it when they don't warn me
