I'm obsessed with filling my I-Pod and making sure that every cd (Even obscure local releases) has album artwork.
I then can spend hours (if left to my own devices) just skimming through cover-flow looking at all the album covers, or going through my entire collection (just over 6k songs and counting) and making sure I have album covers for each and that the quality of the cover is clear and distinct.
If I see a CD that doesn't have a cover, I make a mental note to add one next time i'm on the net, or its like a thorn in my side, I hate that there isn't an album cover. I then try and think of ways of getting the album cover, by either googling, or scanning the cover in.
I also get annoyed when I have downloaded MP3s, for example one whole album - and the encoding or such has made the volume of maybe one particular song uneven. So the whole album is at one level, then one song is a bit softer and sounds a bit lesser in quality. I will then if money is available, purchase the cd, just to ensure I have the right versions, or I will go nuts on the net downloading copious versions of the same song, to see if there is one that sounds the "same".
Anyone else do this?
