Great topic - I can completely relate. I feel both self-conscious that everybody's noticing how uncomfortable I feel, while at the same time being mostly ignored by the entire world. For instance, I was at a group therapy session last week, and the group leader called on all the other people except me. I had a meltdown and stormed out. Even waiting in line people will pretend I'm not there and go in front of me. I could go on with all the examples. But it'd make me more depressed than I already am.

I feel invisible often, both online and in real life. I feel ignored often

I do that, too, someone will give me a strange look and I'll realise that I've been staring at them, and I think, "Sorry, I wasn't trying to make you feel uncomfortable, I just forgot that you could actually see me."

I sometimes feel invisble in situations where I am trying to get someone's attention and they are paying attention to everything but me. I find that placing myself squarely in front of them (if it is possible to do so) and saying "excuse me" usually fixes the problem.
